There is no submission fee. The standard publication fee is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted.
Payment does not guarantee acceptance and does not influence editorial decisions.

Under the journal's CC BY 4.0 licence, authors are free to share their published work on platforms such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu and within institutional repositories.
How Your Tier Is Decided
The applicable tier is based on the country of the corresponding author's institutional affiliation at the time of submission.
For independent researchers, the tier is based on the author's country of residence.
For co-authored work involving authors from both tiers, the tier of the corresponding author applies.
The journal may request reasonable confirmation of institutional affiliation or residence where necessary.
Fast-Track Review
Fast-Track is optional and must be selected at submission.
The Fast-Track fee is paid when the manuscript enters review and covers faster editorial handling only.
Fast-Track manuscripts receive the same full double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Payment of the Fast-Track fee does not influence the editorial outcome.
If a first editorial decision is not provided within 7 days, the Fast-Track fee is refunded in full.
Waivers and Discounts
Authors experiencing genuine financial hardship in either tier may request a full or partial waiver before acceptance by writing to the editorial office.
Waiver requests are handled separately from editorial decision-making. Reviewers and handling editors are not informed about waiver requests.
Payment, Invoices and Refunds
An invoice is issued after acceptance when the standard publication fee becomes due.
Stripe provides an electronic receipt after successful payment.
Refunds are handled according to the journal's Refund Policy.
Fees may change over time. The fee that applies to a submission is the fee displayed on this page on the date the manuscript was submitted.
