Overall manuscript length: A full journal article should normally contain approximately 4,000–6,000 words.
Authors working in disciplines where a different research structure is academically necessary may use appropriate discipline-specific headings, but the manuscript should still present the research clearly and completely.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should normally contain approximately 200–250 words and provide a concise summary of the purpose, approach, key findings and conclusion of the study.
Authors should provide 5 relevant keywords directly below the abstract. Keywords should accurately describe the subject of the research and improve the discoverability of the published work.
References and Citations
P247JMR journal articles should use APA 7th edition for citations and references. Authors are responsible for ensuring that every citation is complete, accurate and consistently formatted.
A full article should normally include approximately 15–25 credible references appropriate to the subject and research design.
Every source appearing in the reference list should correspond to material actually cited in the manuscript.
Submission Files
Authors should submit the final manuscript in Microsoft Word (.docx) format and provide complete author and manuscript metadata through the online submission system.
Supporting files, tables, figures or supplementary material may also be provided where relevant to the research.
File names should be clear and descriptive. If the editorial office requests a revised manuscript, upload the revised version connected to the existing submission rather than creating an unrelated new submission.
Authorship Information
All authors must be identified accurately. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors know the manuscript is being submitted and have approved the submitted version.
Author names and affiliations should be entered consistently because this information may later appear in article metadata, citations, certificates and DOI records.
Long Essays, Theses and Dissertations
P247JMR also provides a separate publication pathway for eligible Bachelor Long Essays, MA Theses and PhD Dissertations.
Authors submitting academic degree work must confirm that they have the right to make the work publicly available and that no institutional embargo or conflicting repository agreement prevents publication.
University name, degree type, author information and year should be entered accurately because these details may become part of the permanent publication or repository record.
What Happens After Submission
After submission, the manuscript receives a submission reference and enters the P247JMR editorial workflow.
The editorial outcome may include acceptance, a request for revision or rejection. A revision request does not constitute final acceptance.
Authors should respond carefully to revision requests and submit the requested revised manuscript within the timeframe communicated by the editorial office.
Following the publication template helps reduce avoidable formatting revisions, but compliance with formatting requirements does not itself guarantee acceptance.
After Acceptance
Accepted authors may be asked to complete the journal's License to Publish and any remaining publication requirements before the work is released.
Where a publication charge applies, checkout is completed only after the manuscript reaches the appropriate stage of the publication workflow.
Once all publication requirements are completed, the final publication record may include the article page, manuscript/PDF, citation metadata, DOI information through Zenodo and the publication E-Certificate.
